Colonial fur trading

February 18,1605

This month we are doing good in fur trades. The Indians had a lot of furs this week.I traded some knives for some fur coats, and a rug.He thanked us for the bread we gave them, and they went back to their tribe.Last week I traded bread, pots, beads, iron tools, and other stuff. We also gave them medicine to heal some of their sick people, and it did.Sometimes we went out this week and tried to catch animals for fur,but we didn’t get but one or two animals.Sometimes this week was hard because we were down on supplies but now we are caught up on supplies. sincerely Jlynn a fur trader
